What to expect

First day

Stop At: Edfu, temple (Horus temple

then drive to Temple of Edfu, most temples in Egypt are in poor state today , and it can take considerable knowledge and imagination to picture what they might have looked like ancient time, the building is in near perfect condition ,where you will visit the majestic temple dedicated to Horus , the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to the Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus revenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth.

Stop At: Kom ombu temples and museum

Drive to Kom ambo Temples the two brothers temple , which It is standing on high grounds overlooking the Nile. It differs from other temples because of its double entrance, each one is dedicated to divinity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and ” Sobek ” with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built in honor of two deities the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, or the ancient falcon-headed Horus.

Felucca around Elephantine island

 Enjoy the great Nile tour on a sailing boat called felucca around the elephantine island ,seeing the sandstone carved tombs and its way up ,cataract hotel (one of oldest hotel in Aswan)

Second day

Abo Simple temples.

The temple was transferred from its original location on the River Nile to its present location in the same specifications and trends that the sculpture was originally.
The UNESCO has worked to form an international campaign to cut the stones of the mountain and the transfer of the temple of his place to save him from drowning Under the waters of Lake High Dam in the early sixties.

He rules Egypt  for about 66 years during the period from (1279-1212 B.C
The ancient Egyptians engineers  had been design to build the temple on the movement of astronomy for the renewal of the agricultural season .

Philla temple

Philae (Greek:  Philai; Ancient Egyptian: Pilak, P’aaleq; Arabic: أنس الوجود‎, Anas el Wagud) is an island in the Nile River ,The complex was dismantled and relocated to a nearby island during a UNESCO project started because of the construction of the Aswan Dam..

Philae, being accounted one of the burying-places of Osiris, was held in high reverence both by the Egyptians ..

Philae also was remarkable for the singular effects of light and shade resulting from its position. As the sun approached its northern limit the shadows from the projecting cornices and moldings of the temples sink lower and lower down the plain surfaces of the walls, until, the sun having reached its highest altitude, the vertical walls are overspread with dark shadows, forming a striking contrast with the fierce light which illuminates all surrounding objects
