Dendera temple goddess Hathor and Cleopatra
Drive toward the beautiful temple of goddess Hathor at Dendera , the temple is one of the best preserved monuments in Egypt at (the sixth ancient upper Egyptian town ) ,todays after cleaning the first hypostyle hall ,its became one of the best all over Egyptian temples ,the fascinated astronomical scenes decorated the ceiling.
The temple built for the goddess Hathor ,the goddess of Music and love ,witness the well preserved colorful scenes depicted on the walls and ceilings ,including the sky goddess Nut .The roof of Dendera temple is a treasure that must be visited , the stair on the right is spiral upward ,they are same steps used by ancient Egyptian priests in the new year festivals ,
the ceiling of one of these sanctuaries was decorated with beautifully carved oval zodiac.
At the back of the temple ,the wall has an important scene of queen Cleopatra and her son Seserons.
Abydos temples ,and the Osirion
The city was called Abdju in the ancient Egyptian language (3bdw or AbDw .
Today, Abydos is notable for the memorial temple of Seti I, which contains an inscription from the nineteenth dynasty known to the modern world as the Abydos King List. It is a chronological list showing cartouches of most dynastic pharaohs of Egypt from Menes until Ramesses I, Seti’s father This surviving building is best known as the Great Temple of Abydos, being nearly complete and an impressive sight.
There also were seven chapels built for the worship of the pharaoh and principal deities. At the back of the temple is an enigmatic structure known as The Osirion thought to be connected with the worship of Osiris.
The mysterious hieroglyphs in Temple of Seti I. which are said to represent modern vehicles as a helicopter, a submarine, a zeppelin and a glider.
Some of the hieroglyphs carved over an arch on the site have been misinterpreted in esoteric mysticist and “ufological” circles as depicting modern technology.
